Mpls. Police: Man Killed In Overnight Stabbing, 1 Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police say a man is in jail after a fatal stabbing on the city's south side late Wednesday evening.

According to police, the incident occurred on the 3000 block of Clinton Avenue South at 11:17 a.m. Police were dispatched there on the report of an assault involving a knife.

When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old man on the front steps of an apartment building suffering from multiple stab wounds. He died from his injuries Thursday morning at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police say 19-year-old Robinson Fabricio Palacios-Castro was arrested shortly after in connection to the stabbing. He was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on the charge of probable cause murder.

The victim's identity and cause of death will be released by the medical examiner at a later date.
