Mpls. Police: AT&T Customers Temporarily Unable To Dial 911 Directly
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police say that AT&T experienced "a 911 outage" that for more than two hours caused customers with the carrier to be unable to dial the number and connect with emergency response teams.
Police say they were made aware of the issue at about 6 a.m. Tuesday. Not long after 8 a.m., AT&T said the issue had been resolved, and the company apologized to anyone who was affected by it.
This was a nationwide issue affecting AT&T users, police said.
