Mpls. Denies TV Home Rehabber Extension To Finish Project

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis says time has run out for a well-known home rehabber to finish a job.

A WCCO Investigation last spring found a home in north Minneapolis that Nicole Curtis bought from the city had not been worked on for months.

Curtis is the host of HGTV's "Rehab Addict" -- one of the network's highest-rated programs.

A $25,000 lien was put on the property after a structural shoring business said Curtis did not pay her bills.

She told WCCO the company did not leave the job site secure. The house was supposed to be finished nearly a year ago.

Curtis met with the city to explore an extension after our story, but the city says it has since been unable to reach her -- so extra time will not be granted.

Curtis' manager told WCCO she has no comment.
