Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In Inver Grove Heights Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash in Washington County Saturday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities were called at about 7:43 p.m. to the area of Highway 61 and Interstate 494 on a report of a rollover crash. When officers arrived, the operator of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was on the ramp from northbound Highway 61 to go west on I-494 when he lost control of the motorcycle in a curve. The motorcycle hit the barrier wall.

The operator was ejected from the motorcycle, went over the wall and landed on the road below the ramp. The driver was taken to Regions Hospital with serious injuries. The operator has not been identified.

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and the Inver Grove Heights Police Department.
