Hopkins Woman Killed In Minnetonka Motorcycle Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning after a crash in the southwest metro.

Police say the accident happened around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Fairview Avenue in Minnetonka. Another vehicle, a 2012 Ford pickup truck, was also involved.

The driver of the pickup was uninjured, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the motorcyclist is a 44-year-old Hopkins woman, but her name has not been released. The driver of the pick-up truck is a 45-year-old Minnetonka man.

Excelsior Boulevard reopened at about 12:30 p.m.
