Motorcyclist Killed In Isanti County Crash Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist who was killed after crashing into another vehicle in Isanti County Sunday afternoon has been identified.

The crash happened along Highway 47 near 261st Street at about 4:15 p.m. According to the State Patrol, the vehicle was turning onto the highway when the motorcyclist, who was traveling north on the highway, crashed into the driver's side of the car.

The 70-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Dexter Gener Olson of Robbinsdale, was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

According to the medical examiner's office, Olson died from multiple blunt force injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol East Metro Division is investigating.
