Motorcyclist Dies After Colliding With Car In NE Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Northeast Minneapolis Sunday evening.

According to police, shortly after 6 p.m. officers responded to a call of a crash between a motorcyclist and a car on Broadway Street NE, just west of University Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering critical injuries lying in the roadway.

Police said the man had been traveling eastbound on a motorcycle when he collided with a car going westbound.

The man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died. Police have not released his identity.

The driver of the car was unhurt and is cooperating with investigators.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
