Motorcyclist, 27, Injured In Meeker County Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 27-year-old Minnesota man is in the hospital after he lost control of his motorcycle and went into a ditch in central Minnesota.

According to Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze, the sheriff's office was dispatched at noon Sunday to a motorcycle accident on County State-Aid Highway 9 in Darwin Township.

There, Cruze says a Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound on 240th Street when it went through a stop sign, almost struck a vehicle northbound on CSAH 9, lost control and went into a ditch.

Cruze says the motorcyclist has been identified as 27-year-old Benjamin Rossow of rural Grove City. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
