1 Injured In Motorcycle Crash In Meeker County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was injured in a motorcycle crash in Meeker County Saturday evening, according to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after 5 p.m., deputies received a call of a motorcycle accident on County State Aid Highway 14 near 250th Street in Darwin Township.
Upon arrival, officers learned that 56-year-old Michael Lodermeier, of St. Joseph, was riding his motorcycle northbound with four other motorcyclists. At some point, Lodermeier made contact with a motorcycle being driven by 54-year-old John Nelson, of Garfield.
Lordermeier suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital. His motorcycle was a total loss.
Nelson suffered no injury.
The only damage to Nelson's motorcycle was to the side window.
The crash is currently under investigation.
