Motorcycle Crash Kills 1 In Western Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in western Wisconsin say a 58-year-old Minneapolis woman died in a crash Saturday involving two motorcycles.

The crashed happened around noon on CTH UU at 100th Avenue in Maiden Rock Township, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department says.

Diane Wick was driving a 2007 Honda Shadow southbound when she went off road negotiating a curve. She then veered back onto the road, but overcorrected.

That's when another motorcycle also driving south, driven by 66-year-old David Friestad of Savage, Minn., crashed into Wick.

The county medical examiner pronounced Wick dead at the scene, the sheriff's office said.

Emergency crews brought Friestad to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, Minn., for treatment. His condition is not yet known.
