Mother, 3 Children Injured In Rollover Crash; 2 Kids Ejected From Minivan
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Minnesota mother and her three children were all injured when their minivan overturned multiple times in Rusk County, Wisconsin. Two of the children, a 15-year-old girl and a 3-month-old baby, were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating why the van driven by Rochelle Trueblood, 44, of Atkin, Minnesota, drifted onto the shoulder of Highway 8, near Thornapple Township.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday.
Trueblood, her two children ejected from the Dodge minivan and her 4-year-old son were taken to Rusk County Memorial Hospital. The 15-year-old and 3-month-old were flown from there to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Trueblood will face a traffic charge of failure to maintain control and be cited for not restraining her 4-year-old in a child safety or booster seat.
The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
