More Severe Weather, Snow On The Way

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After tornadoes, strong winds and heavy rains swept across western Minnesota on Saturday, more severe weather is on the way.

Meteorologist Mike Augustyniak says clusters of storms will swing over a swath of eastern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro.

During the afternoon and early evening, there's a chance for hail, straight-line winds and tornadoes. Winds will also be gusting all day, at speeds up to 40 mph.

And it wouldn't be spring in Minnesota without a little snow.

By Monday morning, residents in the northwest part of the state will see flakes falling.

Augustyniak says there'll likely be a few inches on the ground Monday near the Canadian border, and several inches accumulating in the Great White North.
