Moore Named Player Of Week For 2nd Straight Week

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore has been named the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Moore scored a game-high 32 points in a 93-82 Lynx win over the Tulsa Shock on Wednesday. It was Minnesota's only game that week heading into the All-Star break.

Moore posted her ninth 30-point-plus performance of the season, tying Lauren Jackson for the second-highest single-season total in WNBA history. Moore also added nine rebounds, five assists and two steals.

It was the third time this season Moore has been named Western Conference Player of the Week, and the eighth time she's won the honor in her career.
