Moore, Minnesota Lynx Dominate Second Half, Beat Storm 82-57

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Maya Moore scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and the Minnesota Lynx dominated the second half for an 82-57 win over the Seattle Storm on Friday night.

The Lynx led 34-33 at the half and then shot 68 percent from the field in the second half to defeat the Storm for the 10th straight time at the Target Center.

Lindsay Whalen added 16 points and Seimone Augustus had 13 of her 15 in the second half for Minnesota (8-2), which held an opponent below 60 points for the fourth time this season.

Anna Cruz, acquired from New York in April, was with the Lynx but did not dress. She missed the first nine games while earning a bronze medal with Spain at the EuroBasket 2015.

Moore and Devereaux Peters had two baskets each and Augustus had a three-point play to cap an 11-0 run late in the third quarter that broke open the game. Augustus then hit a 19-footer at the buzzer for a 59-43 lead.
