Minivan driver hurt in Monticello crash involving school bus and dump truck

WCCO digital update: Morning of April 23, 2024

MONTICELLO, Minn. — A driver was airlifted to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus, a dump truck and a minivan Tuesday morning in the northwest metro.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 8 a.m. in Monticello at the intersection of Highway 25 near Wright County Road 37.

All three vehicles involved were heading northbound on the highway when they collided.

The only person injured was the minivan's driver, a 44-year-old Becker man. The state patrol says he's being treated for non-life threatening injuries at a metro hospital.

No students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash.
