Model Ships Engage In Combat In Ramsey, Minn.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – There were a lot of boats out on the water Monday, but at one small lake many of them were sinking.

The Model Warship Combat was taking place on a private property near Ramsey, Minn.

The captains of these tiny vessels operate their ships from shore by remote control.

The boats are pretty fast, and even have bilge pumps to get water out of the hull.

Then, they shoot BB-gun cannons at their enemies.

The championship battles go on all week.
