MnDOT: Highway 12 Bypass To Close For 3 Weeks
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Heads up west metro drivers: MnDOT is planning to close the Highway 12 bypass for three weeks.
The closure will begin on Monday, Oct. 17, at 12:01 a.m., affecting the highway between Hennepin County Road 112 in Long Lake and Hennepin County Road 6 in Orono.
Traffic will be detoured onto old Highway 12 through Orono and Long Lake.
The closure is needed as crews construct a concrete-median barrier to make the highway safer and prevent crossover crashes.
