MnDOT: Fall Is The Deadliest Time Of Year For Pedestrians

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- As days get shorter and nights longer, motorists and pedestrians need to start looking out for one another.

Fall is the deadliest time for pedestrians, according to MnDOT.

So far this year, 23 pedestrians have been killed. That's compared to 17 of all last year.

With the sun setting earlier, it will be harder for drivers to see pedestrians.

Officials ask that drivers stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.

And if you're out walking, be aware of traffic signs and signals at all intersections.
