Minnesota State Fair Plans To Honor Prince With 'Unite In Purple' Day

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota State Fair officials are inviting fairgoers to "Unite in Purple" to honor the life of Prince on Friday, Aug. 26.

Announced Monday, officials say the Prince celebration includes music, tributes and cover songs on stages throughout the fair, a fireworks show, a laser show and more.

Also, the first 5,000 visitors through the gates after 5 p.m. get Unite in Purple glow bracelets and the first 7,500 get Unite in Purple buttons.
