Sheriff: Helicopter Helps Find Toddler Lost In Cornfield

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A helicopter was able so spot a toddler who went missing in a cornfield Friday afternoon in Otter Tail County.

The sheriff's office says a father was working in his field with his 2-year-old son in tow when the boy went missing at about 1 p.m. near the intersection of highways 108 and 49.

The search had gone on for about an hour before a helicopter located the boy, who was returned safe and sound to his parents.

About a dozen different police, fire and EMT agencies helped out in the search effort.
