Missing Minnesota Woman's Body Found In Sheyenne River

NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a body recovered from the Sheyenne River as a 36 year-old Halstad, Minnesota, woman who disappeared last fall.

Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies tells KQDJ radio that the medical examiner identified the woman as Amanda Engst. A dive rescue team from Jamestown recovered her body from the river on Tuesday afternoon.

A cause of death was not released, although foul play is suspected. Lies says a car owned by Engst was used by two people linked to burglaries and robberies in Minnesota and North Dakota.
