Crews Search Pine Lake For Missing Duluth Man

HOVLAND, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a missing Duluth man in Pine Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office says 59-year-old Michael Hickey left for a weekend fishing trip on Friday and did not show up for work on Monday.

Authorities found his truck at a boat landing and a partially submerged canoe registered to him. They also found canoe paddles and some of Hickey's personal items.

Sheriff Pat Eliasen says local, state and federal agencies are involved in the search, which is being conducted on the ground, in the water and from the air.
