Missing Douglas County Man Found Dead In Slough
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A missing Kensington man was found dead in a slough in Douglas County Friday afternoon.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, deputies were asked to complete a welfare check on 63-year-old Danny Leonard Tucker. Tucker had not been seen for about three weeks and had a history of health issues.
Deputies checked Tucker's house but did not find him.
Officials learned Tucker was a trapper and further investigation led them to a slough near East Lake Mary Road.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, a local conservation officer went into the slough in their own kayak and found Tucker partially submerged in water next to a small kayak and trapping equipment.
The cause of death is currently under investigation.
