Search Continues For Boater In Miss. River Near St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The search for a missing boater in the Mississippi River will continue Saturday.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office says they received a report of a man falling out of a boat just after midnight by Shepard Road near the Ramsey County – Dakota County border.

Two people were originally in the boat, and the man who went overboard was not wearing a flotation device.

Ramsey County's Water Patrol was assisted by the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and St. Paul's police and fire departments. The search was eventually called off due to hazardous conditions.

Saturday's search will be a recovery operation.
