'Miracle On Ice' Goalie Auctioning Gold Medal

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An iconic piece of U.S. hockey history will soon be for sale.

Olympic goaltender Jim Craig is auctioning off a collection of memorabilia from the 1980 "Miracle On Ice" team.

He is selling his gold medal and the American flag he famously draped over his shoulders after the gold-medal game.

Two of his Team USA jerseys, skates and a goalie mask are also for sale.

The group in charge of the auction says the items are each worth between $1 million and $2 million.

They are up for bid through June 17.
