Minnetonka Police Seek Info On Grocery Store Bank Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minnetonka are asking for information on a suspect who robbed a bank Monday inside a grocery store.

The robbery happened at 7 p.m. at the U.S. Bank inside the Ridgedale Lunds & Byerlys. Employees told police the robber entered, passed a handwritten note to the teller demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was displayed and no one was injured in the robbery, police say.

The suspect is described as standing about 5-feet, 9-inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a tan suede winter coat with lamb's wool trim, a dark sweatshirt underneath and a dark-colored knit cap over his head.
