MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Crews continue to search for survivors following this weekend's deadly earthquake in south Asia.

More than 3,200 people were killed in Nepal. There were another 61 reported fatalities in neighboring countries, including India. A U.S. military plane is now heading for Nepal. It's carrying 70 people, including a disaster assistance response team and an urban search and rescue team.

One man who was in Nepal during the earthquake was David Rhein from Minnetonka. It appears that he is okay. His sister posted on Facebook that the family hadn't heard from him yet. But she now says her parents have since spoken with him.

David plans to stay at a guest house for another day.
