Minnesota's Sports Teams Pay Tribute To Prince
As the shocking news of Prince's sudden death made its way around the world, seemingly everyone paid tribute to the music giant in their own unique way and the Minnesota sports world was no different.
Shortly after the news became official, each of Minnesota's major sports teams paid their own unique tribute to Prince, but also in solidarity, turned their social media icons purple as well.

While Prince was known as a big sports fan all around, his favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings and he even wrote a song for the team called "Purple and Gold", which you can listen to here.
In the world of sports, Prince will always be remembered in Minnesota but also for his rousing Super Bowl XLVI performance.
