Minnesota's Cammarata, Wilcox Earn Big Ten Honors

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota's Taylor Cammarata and Adam Wilcox have won Big Ten honors for their performances in the Gophers' hockey sweep over Notre Dame.

Cammarata was named Big Ten First Star of the Week for leading all NCAA players with 5 points over the weekend — despite not taking a shot on goal.

The sophomore forward tallied two assists in Friday's 5-0 shutout, including an assist on the game-winner, and then set a new career high by assisting on Minnesota's first three goals in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Irish.

Wilcox was named the Big Ten Second Star of the Week. The junior goaltender stopped all 20 shots he faced on Friday to earn his ninth career shutout and second this season. Wilcox followed up with a 21-save performance on Sunday.
