Minnesota's 'Big 3' Picked for McDonald's All American-Game

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The rosters for the 2014 McDonald's All-American Game, featuring the top high school basketball stars in the country, were released Wednesday night.

The game will be played in April 2 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill, and it will have a notable Minnesota feel. Among the 24 players selected for the show case were Apple Valley point guard Tyus Jones, DeLaSalle power forward Reid Travis and former Robbinsdale Cooper star Rashad Vaughn.

The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU. Jones was chosen to play for the East team, while Travis and Vaughn will play for the West team. Jones has signed a scholarship to play at Duke, Travis has signed to play at Stanford and Vaughn has not yet declared. He recently eliminated the Gophers and is down to Kentucky, North Carolina, Iowa State, Kansas and UNLV.

On the girls side there were seven Minnesota players originally nominated for the game, but none was chosen.
