Minnesotans Jump Start Resolutions With Commitment Day 5k

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – People in the Twin Cities were jumping into their resolutions as they gathered in St. Louis Park for "commitment day."

Groups gathered for a 5k run and walk at Life Time Fitness.

"Commitment Day" is a nationwide event, with 25 other states participating. It encourages the community to come together and make life-changing New Year's resolutions.

"Its January 1. What's more exciting than kicking off the New Year in a healthy way? Find something that you're passionate about, that you keep returning to the club [for] and participate in," Reed Mosimann said.

Afterward, people had the opportunity to mix and mingle with others in the community.
