2 Minnesotans Arrested After Leading Wis. Troopers On Pursuit

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two Minnesotans are in custody after leaving a gas station without paying and fleeing Wisconsin State Patrol.

Around 2:30 a.m. Monday, State Patrol troopers tried to stop three vehicles in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The vehicles pulled into a rest stop off Interstate 94 in Menomonie, Wisconsin, before fleeing at 110 mph, State Patrol said.

Troopers pursued the three vehicles, which included a reportedly stolen Buick and two Honda Accords. The Buick hit a tire deflation device and was stopped in Baldwin, Wisconsin. A 16-year-old boy from Minnesota was taken into custody.

Troopers saw one of the Accords in traffic and took an 18-year-old Minnesotan man into custody as well.

The other Accord remains at large. Both Minnesotans in custody face pending charges of operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent, felony fleeing and reckless driving, State Patrol said.
