Minnesota Woman Gets 30 Years In Boyfriend's Dragging Death

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) — A northern Minnesota woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the dragging death of her boyfriend last August.

Thirty-year-old Jessica Kilde of Ogema was sentenced Monday in Becker County. She earlier pleaded guilty to second-degree intentional murder in the death of 41-year-old Rick Baity, who was tied to a strap and dragged behind an SUV.

KFGO-AM reports Kilde told the judge that she was sorry for what she did, although she can't remember that night. Authorities say the two had been drinking and smoking methamphetamine earlier in the day.
