Tornado warning issued in northwestern Minnesota as storms move through

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota on July 7, 2025

Severe storms were moving through parts of northwestern and southwestern Minnesota on Monday evening. 

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Norman County that was scheduled to be in effect until 10 p.m.

Storms moving through Westbrook, Minnesota, in the southwestern part of the state just after 6:30 p.m. brought rain and large clouds through the area.

Showers will linger into Tuesday morning, and a few pop-up storms are possible in the afternoon. Highs will be around 84 degrees, and there will be some sunshine.

Wednesday will be dry and pleasant, with highs in the mid-80s and lower humidity.

Warmer and more humid conditions are expected on Thursday.

The next system moves in Friday, with better chances for widespread thunderstorms.

The weekend is looking cooler and less humid, with dry skies likely.
