Record warmth possible Thursday in Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS — The Twin Cities will get another mild night on Wednesday with temperatures warmer than the average high this time of year.

On Thursday, the metro will take another run at a daily record high with help from plenty of sunshine. The current record, 48 degrees, was set in 1989.

Temps will cool on Friday but will stay above average. There is still a chance of snow on Saturday, with likely less than an inch of accumulation in the metro and more likely north and east.

Temps will stay mild through the weekend, with highs falling back to the teens next week.
