Summerlike afternoons continue in Twin Cities into October

The Twin Cities will enjoy more sunshine and highs near 80 degrees on Thursday now that the morning fog has lifted.

Although a cold front will move through tonight, no precipitation is expected. High temperatures will be about the same on Friday as they are today. 

Friday kicks off the first of three back-to-back Top 10 Weather Days. The lovely weather will continue into the weekend, with highs in the 70s and 80s. A ridge is building that will keep the metro dry. 

The average high temperature for this time of year is in the upper 60s, and with this stretch of warm weather, this could end up being one of the warmest ends of September on record.   

Conditions remain mild early next week, with rain chances possible by Oct. 4. While clouds will pick up early in the week, rain chances in the metro area are slim.
