Mix of rain, snow and strong winds in Twin Cities before another weekend storm

Rain is falling Thursday night in the Twin Cities, while snow is falling up north.

The system will move out of Minnesota overnight, with no snow accumulation expected in the metro.

The wind stays strong overnight with a high wind warning in effect through 10 a.m. Friday.

Friday will be a raw one with temperatures cooling into the 30s and more strong winds.

Much of Saturday will be fine, until a winter storm watch kicks in at 7 p.m. Snow will be heaviest overnight into Sunday morning.

 Some towns will pick up over a foot of accumulation, which will be blown about by more heavy winds.
