Highs in the 50s, slightly more sunshine in Twin Cities Tuesday

Temperatures continue to rise in the Twin Cities, with more precipitation ahead later in the week.

Tuesday has been a mild one with highs in the mid 50s and a bit more sunshine. A gentle, southerly wind will pick up at times. Temps will cool back into the 40s overnight.

Wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week as highs will surge into the 60s.

A cold front arrives on Thursday, triggering some scattered rain showers and gustier winds.

The metro chills behind the front on Friday and only warms into the low 40s.

This weekend warms nicely with highs in the 50s Saturday and the 60s on Sunday.

Temps will stay above average into next week.
