Minnesota Waterfowl Symposium Runs Saturday In Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — The question of whether Minnesota's duck hunting limits are too loose or just right will be up for debate at the 18th annual Minnesota Waterfowl Symposium.
The one-day conference runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Mall of America Ramada Inn in Bloomington.
Hunters and managers will celebrate Minnesota's waterfowl and wetland resources, and discuss issues surrounding waterfowl and wetland habitat management. Speakers will include officials from state and federal agencies as well as conservation groups.
A panel discussion and question-and-answer period in the afternoon will include Dave Zentner of the Concerned Duck Hunters Group, which says current regulations are too liberal, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Landwehr, and Jim Kelly, the Mississippi Flyway representative of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
