Minnesota State Fair Puts Partial Ban On Selfie Sticks

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you plan to pack your selfie stick when you head to the Great Minnesota Get-Together, make sure you know the rules.

The Minnesota State Fair is instituting a partial ban on selfie sticks.

They'll be prohibited at all of the ticketed attractions, such as the Sky Rider, Ye Old Mill and the rides at the Midway and Kidway.

Selfie sticks also won't be allowed at any of the entertainment venues, free stages or the Grandstand.

The State Fair starts Aug. 27 and lasts through Labor Day.
