Minnesota Sen. Klobuchar Heads To Iowa For Clinton Campaign

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar is headed to Iowa to campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Klobuchar's Friday swing in eastern Iowa includes events in Davenport and Clinton. An itinerary released Wednesday says Klobuchar will meet with Iowa women at a Clinton campaign headquarters and then speak a Democratic dinner.

The second-term senator isn't the only high-profile Minnesota official backing Clinton in her second bid for the White House. Fellow Sen. Al Franken and Gov. Mark Dayton are also on board.

In 2008, Klobuchar endorsed then-Democratic candidate Barack Obama over Clinton in their prolonged nomination battle.
