Minnesota Bucks Trends With Most Popular Baby Names

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota bucked the national trend for most popular baby names in 2015.

Last week, the Social Security Administration announced Noah and Emma as the top boy and girl names in the U.S.

The top most popular name for girls in Minnesota was Olivia, followed by Emma, Evelyn, Ava and Nora.

Olivia was actually the second most popular girl's name in the U.S., but Evelyn and Nora weren't in the top 10 nationally.

The most popular boy's name in Minnesota was Henry (the name of Matt Brickman's new son), with Oliver, William, Liam and Mason rounding out the top five.

Neither Henry nor Oliver were among the country's top 10 boy's names.
