Minnesota Man Dies Snowmobiling In Northern Wisconsin

TOWN OF NAMAKAGON, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a Minnesota man has died while snowmobiling with friends on a northern Wisconsin lake.

Fifty-four-year-old David Eugene Cronoble, of Mound, Minnesota, died when his snowmobile hit a truck and trailer parked on Lake Namakagon in Bayfield County late Friday night.

Investigators say Cronoble was with three other snowmobilers heading to Lakewoods Resort and had left a marked trail on the lake when he hit the unoccupied vehicle.

The Bayfield County coroner pronounced Cronoble dead at the scene.
