Minnesota Man Charged With Moving Woman's Body

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — St. Paul authorities have charged a man with moving the body of a woman who was found wrapped in a blanket outside.

Sixty-four-year-old John Stanton Sr. was charged in Ramsey County court Tuesday with one count of interference with a dead body. Police say he moved 39-year-old Rahel Nigusse to a wooded area after she died in his apartment in June.

The medical examiner ruled the case "undetermined." Authorities say she likely died of complications from diabetes.

Stanton told police she was a friend who was staying with him. He said she died when he wasn't in the apartment and he panicked when he found her.

He told police he didn't want another body found there after his wife was fatally stabbed in May. His wife's ex-boyfriend has been charged with her murder.
