Minnesota Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing In South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Minnesota man is in custody in a fatal stabbing in Sioux Falls.

Police say 31-year-old Janno Talla, of Worthington, Minnesota, was arrested in that city on warrants for murder and aggravated assault after the incident late Thursday afternoon.

Talla was awaiting extradition to South Dakota. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Talla is accused of stabbing a 19-year-old Ammuna Gayya and 27-year-old Denga Kotudi in a Sioux Falls apartment. Police say Kotudi survived but Gayya died.

Authorities said Talla knew the victims but didn't detail their relationship.
