Minnesota Man Among 3 Killed In Crash Near New Hampton, Iowa

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say three people in a car were killed when it collided with a semitrailer in northeast Iowa's Chickasaw County.

The accident was reported about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, about two miles south of New Hampton on U.S. Highway 63. The Iowa State Patrol says the driver of a westbound car didn't yield to cross traffic at a highway intersection, so the car was struck by the northbound truck.

The patrol says three people in the car died. They were identified as 24-year-old Latorris Duffie and 25-year-old Devin Gordin, of Waterloo; and 29-year-old Keith Demry, of Richfield, Minnesota. The driver and another passenger were hospitalized. The patrol says the truck driver was not injured.
