Minnesota Lynx Announce Signing Of Courtney Williams

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Lynx have signed former Texas A&M star forward Courtney Williams, the team announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in her senior year at Texas A&M, and was named senior Second Team All-SEC by league coaches for the third consecutive season.

Williams finished her college career ranked fourth among active SEC players in career points, third in field goals made and seventh in rebounds.

The terms of the contract have not been disclosed, per team policy.

The team says the first chance to see its roster is a preseason contest at Mayo Civic Center in Rochester on Sunday, May 8 at 4 p.m. against the Washington Mystics.
