Minnesota Firefighter Pleads Not Guilty To Arson

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) — A Lake Park firefighter accused of setting grass fires has pleaded not guilty to an arson charge.

Thirty-five-year-old Michael Gullard is accused of setting several grass fires in Becker County last spring. Other firefighters became suspicious because they were responding to a large number of grass fires.

KFGO-AM reports Gullard had only been with the Lake Park Fire Department a couple of months. Court documents say the 911 calls reporting the fires came from Gullard's cellphone.
