Minnesota AIDS Project Hosts Walk At Minnehaha Park
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For nearly 30 years, the Minnesota AIDS Project has been working to help people affected by that deadly disease.
Sunday was their 28th annual AIDS walk, and thousands of people showed up at Minnehaha Park to support the cause. Donations to the foundation help prevent new HIV cases and keep people living with the disease in Minnesota healthy.
The event included health screenings and free HIV testing. Last year, the AIDS Walk raised nearly $400,000 with about 3,000 people participating as walkers, volunteers and donors.
