Minneapolis To Start Yard Waste Pickup

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The snow's nearly gone, the mud is starting to dry out, and that means it's just about time to get rid of the yard waste left over from winter.

The City of Minneapolis announced that their yard waste pickup will start up this week. Customers of the city's waste and recycling programs can set compostable bags out containing brush and other waste.

They will also collect branches less than 3 inches in diameter. They must be bundled up in sets weighing less than 40 pounds.

For any questions about the pickup, customers are asked to visit the city's website or call 612-673-2917 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
